What's A Credit Union

A Credit Union is a cooperative financial organization owned by the members of the Credit Union. Credit Unions are a not-for-profit organization which has the primary purpose of providing low cost loans, higher than average savings rates on deposits, and free or low cost services back to the membership which supports the Credit Union. Members elect a Board of Directors which has the responsibility of providing these membership benefits while maintaining a safe and sound financial institution. Each member has an equal vote in elections. Credit Unions are a good consumer benefit for those eligible to join.
