Be sure to 'open' your mail box to insure notices of upcoming events, special offers and unprocessed bill payment request. We use mail box as one way to express communications with our members.  Also, if by some reason that a bill payment request could not be processed,  notification will be through the mail box.  The mail box link is located on the top right of the Virtual Branch page. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Don't Forget to Opt-In"!  Beginning August 15, 2010, you must "opt-in" for Courtesy Pay Overdraft Protection when using an ATM and one time debit card transaction. By "opting-in", Rocket City Federal Credit Union will be able to service our members without interruption to your personal Courtesy Pay Program.  It's simple to "opt-in"*. Please don't delay, call 256-533-0541 for further details. *Some restrictions apply.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~    Important Notice !  Based upon a report from VISA Credit Card Services, a significant increase of fraud is occurring at gas stations across the United States.    Discount retail stores are also being reported in the fraud.  A small number of our own VISA Credit Card member accounts have been compromised.  We are taking secure and vital measures to insure the safety of our credit card members.  Please be assured that no member will be responsible for fraudulent transactions of this nature.  Law enforcement authorities across the nation are investigating this compromise.   As to the security of our members, we have lowered dollar and transaction limits in order to discourage any further credit card compromise accounts.  If you have any problems with processing a VISA credit card transaction, please contact the credit union @ 256-533-0541 during business hours and we will give you our immediate attention.  If after business hours please call : VISA CREDIT CARD - 1-800-808-7230 or VISA DEBIT CARD  - 1-800-472-3272   WARNING!  Our offices have been notified of a "phishing scam" .  A "Phishing Scam" is where someone tries to obtain personal information from you in order to gain access to your accounts, whether credit card, debit card, or regular share and share draft accounts. The recent phishing scam is related to deactivation of your debit or credit card.  Please note that your accounts and plastic cards are safe with Rocket City Federal Credit Union. However, we cannot control the information that you may give out unknowingly to a scam artist. Rocket City Federal Credit Union will never contact you  asking for personal information concerning any account, plastic card, or service that we may provide to you.
