Fraudulent Emails! The Alabama Credit Union League has been notified today by several credit unions that a number of text messages and emails are circulating under subjects like: Account De-activation Account Status Alert Changes to Terms and Conditions Irregular Activity The message could be from phone number 1-888-645-1787. These e-mails and text messages say they are from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and ask that the member call a number in order to have their account reactivated. Some may request that the member leave callback information or provide financial information directly. All of these e-mails are fraudulent. Do not respond to these messages! As you know, CUNA is the trade association for credit unions in the US. CUNA does not maintain any type of customer/member financial information and would never ask for this type of information. Additionally, Rocket City Federal Credit Union would never solicit your personal identification information via email. If you did respond to such a solicitation, please contact the credit union immediately at 256-533-0541. More Information on Internet Fraud ********************   Important Notice ! Based upon a report from VISA Credit Card Services, a significant increase of fraud is occurring at gas stations across the United States.    Discount retail stores are also being reported in the fraud.  A small number of our own VISA Credit Card member accounts have been compromised.  We are taking secure and vital measures to insure the safety of our credit card members.  Please be assured that no member will be responsible for fraudulent transactions of this nature.  Law enforcement authorities across the nation are investigating this compromise.   As to the security of our members, we have lowered dollar and transaction limits in order to discourage any further credit card compromise accounts.  If you have any problems with processing a VISA credit card transaction, please contact the credit union @ 256-533-0541 during business hours and we will give you our immediate attention.  If after business hours please call : VISA CREDIT CARD - 1-800-991-4961 or VISA DEBIT CARD  - 1-800-472-3272  YES, Your Money is Safe at Rocket City Federal Credit Union! Virtual Branch/Home Banking Users: Be sure to 'open' your mail box to insure notices of upcoming events, special offers and unprocessed bill payment request. We use mail box as one way to express communications with our members.  Also, if by some reason that a bill payment request could not be processed,  notification will be through the mail box.  The mail box link is located on the top right of the Virtual Branch page. Attention:  ATM Users Redstone Federal Credit ATM's will allow our members access without a surcharge fee once again!  Beware, if the ATM notifies you that a surcharge will be applied, the system has not been updated, and you may incur fees.  This fee should be discontinued in a short time.
